R.E.A.C.H.

R.E.A.C.H. ( Robotic Extension Arm for Cargo Handling) is a 6 DOF robotic arm. The goal was to design a robotic arm that can autonomously detect and pick up objects across a given range of space while keeping the costs relatively low to stay within competition budgetary constraints.

2.5 Month long project

  • Total Cost: $150

  • Fully 3D printed on Bambu Lab A1and Markforged

    • The majority of the body is printed in PETG for better durability under different loads

    • Load-bearing gears were printed out of Carbon fiber-reinforced Nylon

  • Finalist for university projects showcase Chapman Make-A-Thon
